I would like to end the week by saying a big ‘Thank You’ in celebration of National Primary Care Week to all of the nurse practitioners working in primary care.
Life as a primary care nurse practitioner is no cake-walk. You are busy; you must manage the demands of operating a clinic as well as working with patients and family members treating them for a wide array of medical conditions. You are well educated and highly regarded among your peers and your community and they look to you for advice. These are big shoes to fill.
Not only are you a pivotal part of individual’s lives as well as your local community, you have recently reached the national spotlight. The pressure to rise to the occasion of filling the need for an increased number of primary care providers is on you. Let’s continue to work hard and help new NP’s develop their skills so as a profession we can rise to the occasion.
Keep up the good work, we appreciate all that you do!
