Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the surgeon in and out of the OR; pre- and post- patient work ups; rounds; making sure patients and family are kept up to date; input pre/post orders; assist in the office as well, but only when not in the OR. The primary role is FA and doing any and all of the Doctor's day to day duties to help lighten his load as much as possible.

Schedule begins daily at 6 am. The patient load varies from 5 -15 with averages of 1-2 cath lab cases per day and 1-3 surgeries per day, (i.e. usually just one open heart per day). Position does include call coverage and includes some weekends for emergency cases while on call and doing rounds. 

The NP/PA must already be trained in endoscopic vein harvesting and must have surgical first assist skills and cardiac surgery skills. 

Benefits

Benefits include a salary ranging from $100K - $120K, a CME allowance, 22 -32 days of PTO, health, vision, dnetal, LTD, STD, retirement with matching, FMLA counseling and scholarships.
